Epoxy paints are generally former for covering the basement or garage floor. It is durable and available in a number of colors. It also creates shiny appearance which leads the floor to have such aesthetic look. There are three kinds of epoxy paints containing solid sums.
The first category is 100 percent fully solid. It is widely known for its endurance and resistance to chemicals and abrasions. It comprises highly toxic which is dangerous to apply in a careless way. Professional workers usually choose to wear a respirator and keep the building well-ventilated so that the air circulation can still flow well and the toxic contained in the paint cannot get easily inhaled. The result is very thick, well covered, and quickly hardened. Yet, this is considered the most expensive type.
The next is 40-60 percent solid, or mostly known as solvent-based epoxy paint. It penetrates and adheres good to the floor. It also comprises toxic fumes which, again, require the workers to apply a respiratory mask when mixing and applying the paint. Lastly, it is water-based epoxy paint. It is the least costly and user friendly as it has no odor which makes it comprise any toxic.
